February 9 - 11, 2024

Come retreat with us to beautiful Valle Crucis Conference Center with students from Episcopal campus ministries from across the state!!! Bring friends and make new ones as we worship, play, rest, and grow in faith together away from campus!

Registration deadline: Sunday, Jan 28th at midnight!

Cost: $20 registration fee (total cost is TBD but we’ll keep the cost low. Scholarship is available! Just let us know in the sign up link! We don’t want $$ to be prohibitive of you having the 3rd best weekend of your life!)

Fall Retreat 2023

at Camp Cheerio in Sparta, NC

We’d love for YOU to come retreat with us!!!! Retreat time is sacred space away from the pace of campus and a great way to ground your semester in the love of Jesus Christ. On retreat we’ll worship, play, rest, and immerse ourselves in God’s wondrous creation. It’s also a great way to make some lifelong friendships and feel belonging in beloved campus community!!!

When/where: Sept 29 - Oct 1 at Camp Cheerio (1hr away) <— yall this place is freaking gorgeous!

Who: ALL are welcome at ESF. And we mean, ALL. We are an open and inclusive ministry and believe that all God’s children are beloved and wonderfully made.

Join us for Spring Retreat, 2023 at Kanuga!!!!!

Well the hurricane that didn’t really end up effecting western Carolina didn’t allow us to retreat in the fall so we are REALLY ready to get off campus for some fellowship together!!!! We are SO PUMPED to get back to KANUGA near Hendersonville, NC! (We went there for fall retreat in 2019!) It’s gonna be a fantastic time to relax and enjoy God’s created world in the beauty of the the mountains of NC.

Hurricane Ian tried to stop us but we are bound and determined to retreat!! We’d love for you to come retreat with us to Camp Cheerio!!!! Being away from campus after a month of fall semester is crucial! We’ll worship, play, rest, and just BE in communion with nature and one another. Camp Cheerio is freaking beautiful - it’s a YMCA camp on the top of a mountain and the food is actually amazing (for camp food). More details to come! Sign up below before spaces fill up!

Join us for Spring Retreat - Feb. 11-13!

Just outside Boone, NC sits a picturesque valley (It’s called “Valle Crucis” because it looks like a cross!) with rolling pastures, with bold creeks, it’s the birthplace of MAST General Stores, and the site of a little Episcopal Retreat Center. At VCCC, there’s a short hike to a waterfall on property, plenty of character, and honestly, some of the best “camp food” I’ve ever had! Join 20 other friends as we retreat from campus to have a rendezvous with God. It’s so important as a people of faith for us to regularly have opportunities to slow down enough hear the Spirit speaking to us. Spring is a fabulous time to take a spiritual self-inventory and re-frame the semester on campus. Saturday night we’ll explore Boone or other local winter activities (weather and Omicron depending).

Seriously one of the best weekends of your life. Guaranteed! We’ll practice renewal, rest, & play. Meet new friends & worship together at a gorgeous camp on a lake! ESF Florence Relief Trip

On September 14, 2018, Hurricane Florence made landfall just south of Wrightsville Beach. Over the next few days Florence dumped over 30 inches of rain in NC, left 57 people dead, and caused over $17 Billion in damages. Join us for a weekend of service and worship as we continue clean up efforts from Hurricane Florence in some of the hardest-hit areas near Wilmington, NC.

When: March 29-31. (Departing: Kitchin/Poteat pull-through on Friday, March 29 @4pm.)

Where: We’ll be staying at St. James’ Episcopal Church, Wilmington NC.

What: We’ll work all day Saturday with the “Baptists on Mission”

Cost: (Optional Donation - see below)

We’ll depart on Sunday after church at St. James’ arriving at WFU around 4pm.

Time away from campus with good friends!!! Time with Jesus!!! & SKIIING!!!! What could be better?! Here are the deets:

• When: Feb. 22-24 (we’ll leave around 4-5pm on the 22nd and return around noon on the 24th)

• Where: Valle Crucis Episcopal Conference Center (Valle Crucis, NC)

• Cost: TBD but expect it to be around $75/person

• What to bring:

  • Comfortable, WARM clothing

  • Bible (we’ll have extra if you don’t have one)

  • Journal (we’ll bring extra if you don’t have one)

  • Appropriate Ski apparel: Ski jacket, pants, gloves, scarf, hat (Let James know if you need or try and borrow from a friend)

  • Money for dinner on your own at Sugar Mountain on Saturday night

You’re invited to BEACH RETREAT

at Trinity Center at Pine Knoll Shores, NC!!!

Come spend some time with Jesus and be still and know the God who calls you and loves you! Retreating together early in the school year is vital to forming beloved community in college. We hope this joint campus retreat between Davidson College, NC State University, UNC Charlotte, UNC Greensboro, St. Augustine’s University, Elon University, Wake Forest University, Salem College, and Winston Salem State University will be an encounter with God as you follow Christ in college.

Cost: $85 (Scholarship available)
